Marnier Milkshakes

My daddy passed this down to me and it’s my favorite way to make a milkshake. I almost can’t have them any other way. Really simple, just a secret ingredient that takes a normal milkshake and kicks it straight in the forehead.

I made these last week for The Beau and a friend, and they gave me the thumbs up on their awesomeness.

Marnier Milkshakes

What you’ll need (to yield two):

  • 4 Cups of Strawberry Ice Cream (I don’t measure, but I figure this is about right. Fill a regular sized blender up a little over half-way)
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 – 1/3 of Gran Marnier (depends on how strong you would like it to be)
  • Whipped Cream

Preparation:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend. 🙂

Top with whipped cream, sit outside, and soak up the sun and all it’s awesomeness. I promise you will LOVE this and you’ll start feeling it about halfway though. 🙂 The orange flavor of the Grand Marnier really blends well with the strawberry. You can mix in some vanilla ice cream as well.

Sorry no picture! We got through these pretty quick!
